Area Marinette Market vendors wanting to sell/showcase their products are encouraged to apply with the City of Marinette for Marinette Market on Stephenson Island starting the selling season on Friday, June 2 from 2-6:00PM.

Vendors with home-grown produce, flowers, jams, jellies and other canned products, jewelry, honey, coffee, eggs, crafts and other specialized or home crafted items can set up a 10’x20’ space every Friday throughout the summer along the parking lot at Stephenson Island for a total seasonal fee of $50. Are you an area musician? Show off your talent on Fridays! Vendor applications and rules may be picked up at City Hall in the Community Development Office or by contacting Jan Kust at 715.732.5139. An easier way to get the information and application is to download it off the City’s website at: marinette.wi.us/index.php/visitors/marinette-market and mail fee and application to Marinette Market, C/O City Hall, 1905 Hall Avenue. Marinette Market will continue through October and as weather permits.

Mark your calendars!! Vendors are bringing fresh produce and fun products for you to purchase!

The City of Marinette will be sponsoring a Marinette Market on the side of Stephenson Island parking lot beginning on FRIDAY, JUNE 2. Markets will continue throughout the summer months until the end of October, weather permitting. The times are: 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm on Fridays.

This market is for local vendors to display and sell their items to the general public. Wine, Produce, jams, jellies, pickles, coffee, raw honey, jewelry, crafts and other items may be sold. Musicians are also most welcome to attend and advertise their bands and talents.

Vendor Cost for a Seasonal Stall:   10x20 Space= $50

All stalls ae available on a first come, first serve basis. There is limited electricity available, bring your own extension cords. One stall is two parking spots.

The market does not set prices for vendors, but all vendors must be considerate of other vendors when marketing their prices for their items. We will not allow “price gouging” at the market. Vendors are required to be courteous and professional towards other vendors & customers.

filling the boot campaign
This is the check presentation to the Muscular Dystrophy Association of the funds raised during the 2016 FILL the Boot campaign. This is one of the highest amounts raised by Marinette Fire Departments Local 226 members.

We would like to thank the City of Marinette for allowing us to continue our partnership with MDA and thank public for their generous donations make FILL the Boot such a success.

The City of Marinette Bulding Inspector is issuing a reminder regarding Marinette Municipal Code's rules on building numbers withing the city. The municipal code reads as follows.

"Existing Buildings: The owner of every building in the City used for business, residence, or public purposes shall place and maintain on the front therof, in a conspicuous place open to public view, the number or numbers belonging to such building according to the maps and plans prepared therfore under the direction of the Mayor and the Council on file in the office of the City Engineer.

"New Buldings: The owner of every building, within 10 days after its occupation, shall cause the same to be numbered according to the maps and plans and such additions therto as the Mayor and Council may cause to be prepared and filed in the office of the City Engineer.

"Size and Style of Numbers: All numbers placed in accordance with the conditions of this section shall be either conspicuously painted or fo raised figures not less than three inches in height and of a color which contrasts with the color of the building. All numbers shall be in Arabic numeral form. Any other number styles, including written, scriptm and Roman numerals, do not satisy the requirements of this section.

"Failure to Act: If the owner of any building fails to comply with this section, the owner may be subject to the general penalty provisions of MMC 1.0107 (Ordinance 2010-2167 adopted 2-2-2010)."
