JUNE 14, 2017

A sanitary sewer bypass occurred on June 14, 2017 after Marinette Wastewater
Employees were notified of a high level alarm at a wastewater pump station. When the
crew arrived at the pump station on the Corner of 3rd Street and Water Street, they
found a tree had fallen on a control box at the station, shutting down one of the 3
pumps. Bypass pumping started at 8:11 a.m. and ended 8:45a.m. with a total of 20,400
gallons discharged. Questions can be directed to the Marinette Wastewater Operations
Manager at 715-732-5180.

RE: Cleveland Avenue & Pierce Avenue Closure

The City of Marinette will be installing underground utilities and reconstructing the Cleveland Avenue/Pierce Avenue intersection. The project will start one week later than originally planned due to the recent rain. The project and detour will now begin Monday, June 26th. The work is scheduled to be completed within three weeks.

The work will require a road closure and a traffic detour. A posted detour will route motorists around the construction zone. Please follow the posted detour directional signs.

We ask motorists to be patient and reduce speed when traveling the detour route.

Thank you.
